Circle Weaving Triptych

$80.00

A trio of high-volume circle weavings made of multicolored yarns, and mounted on painted canvases in yellow, blue and turquoise. Each weaving took many sessions to complete, demonstrated by the sheer bulk of each piece! These artworks were created by Ikesha, a participant in Intertwine Arts’ weaving programs.

Ikesha likes to weave on a variety of different forms including the loom, paper plates, embroidery hoops and more. She’s always looking to try new and challenging projects. Her projects are always filled with color and layers and layers of multicolored yarns. ‘I like to make pieces for my daughter, blankets, pillows, bags, etc. She loves all my pieces I make and she asks for more , she says ‘Your colors look nice mummy! All the rainbow colors.’ Now she wants me to make her something to wear like a jacket. It takes me time to make the pieces, more than 2 weeks, I like to work carefully and slowly.’

Three circle weavings mounted on painted canvas. 5” x 7”, 5” x 7”, & 8” x 8”.
